BodhVika ("we", "us") operates bodhvika.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

• Contact/enquiry forms: name, email, phone (optional), your message, and which audience (student/teacher/school/general) you selected.
• Newsletter signup: your email address and consent timestamp.
• Journal submissions: name, email, and the content you submit for editorial review.
• Store orders: name, email, phone (optional), and order/payment status. Card details are never stored by BodhVika — payments are processed directly by Razorpay.
• Bodhi (our AI assistant): we do not store your conversation content. We log only aggregate, non-identifying usage counters (whether a reply errored or was rate-limited).
• Basic, privacy-conscious analytics on page and feature usage where configured.

Why we collect it

To respond to enquiries, operate the newsletter, moderate and publish Journal submissions, fulfil Store orders, and keep the service secure and reliable. We do not sell personal data.

Who processes it

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (region: Mumbai, ap-south-1).
• Razorpay — payment processing for Store purchases.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Google (Gemini API) — powers Bodhi; your message text is sent to Google to generate a reply and is not retained by BodhVika.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Retention

We keep enquiry, order and subscriber records for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected (including applicable tax/accounting requirements for orders), and delete or anonymise data on request where we are not legally required to retain it.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime via the link in any newsletter email.
• Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

Children

BodhVika serves students, but we design for privacy: we do not knowingly collect more personal data from a minor than an enquiry form or newsletter signup requires, we do not build public student profiles, and we do not use student data for targeted advertising.

Security

Data is protected with row-level security in our database, private storage for purchased files, and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a data incident affecting you, we will take reasonable steps to notify and remediate it.
